Surrey Tennis LTA Love Padel!

Game4Padel and Surrey Tennis LTA met in London at the Chelsea Harbour Club on Saturday 27th April. More than 40 people representing 20 different venues from Surrey took part in our 2 hour presentation.

Everyone had a chance to pick up a padel racket and play some "friendly" matches. Each point was a competitive battle interspersed with laughter caused by the satisfaction of a winning volley, a good defense off the wall or a lack of communication between partners - "Mine! No mine!!".

The highlight of the on court action was a game between players of 4 different generations, the youngest player being a 10 year old. A great example of how inclusive and accessible padel is!

Back in the conference room we were presenting the Game4Padel vision. We talked about:

  • What is padel?

  • The success of padel in Europe and its potential growth in the UK.

  • The benefits of having padel courts at sports clubs, universities, local authorities, etc.

  • Our venue offer - how can we help your venue to add padel courts with a funded comprehensive club management package?

Everyone was really excited by the idea of taking padel home to their own clubs. Discussions are already underway with some of the Surrey venues who are very interested in starting a joint venture with Game4Padel.

Thank you to Surrey Tennis for helping us put this event together and to the Chelsea Harbour Club for being a great host!
